Sara is a transactional attorney whose practice focuses on residential and commercial real estate closings. Licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, she earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts School of Law in 2016. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing, magna cum laude.

Her legal career began in civil litigation and landlord–tenant disputes. Today, she helps clients navigate the details of real estate transactions with an emphasis on precision, efficiency and clear guidance.

Outside her practice, Sara enjoys time with her family and continues to teach dance. Previously, she was a professional dancer and ran a dance studio for more than 15 years.

Greg brings more than three decades of experience in real estate law and financial services to Balkun Title & Closing. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a law degree, and began his legal career at a small firm in the early 1990s.

He went on to run his own title and closing practice for 15 years before joining a Warwick firm, where his work included real estate, evictions and foreclosures. At Balkun, he focuses on residential transactions and enjoys a collaborative approach that helps clients move forward.

Greg has two children and a longstanding interest in politics and history. An enthusiastic runner and cyclist, he has completed the Boston Marathon twice. He also enjoys gardening and time at the beach.

Brooke has practiced law since 2021 and is admitted in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts. She earned a dual degree in Legal Studies and Psychology from Roger Williams University in 2018, followed by her Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2021.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Brooke has made Rhode Island her home. Outside her practice, she enjoys reading, going to the beach and spending time with family.

Andrew brings four decades of legal practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts to his role as Of Counsel. He serves as chair of the governance committee for ALS-RI, volunteers as an attorney for the Milton Council on Aging and is a member of the Pawtucket Bar Association.

Andrew and his wife, Karen, have participated in the Cape Cod Repertory Theater’s Bold Company. They are the parents of three children.

Nicole joined Balkun Title & Closing in 2021 as a post-closer and soon advanced into a closer role. She works with real estate agents, borrowers and loan officers throughout each transaction, coordinates with sellers, and collaborates with attorneys and underwriters to resolve title issues.

In 2025, Nicole became Office Manager. Her responsibilities include daily operations, staff coordination and process improvement, as well as scheduling, vendor relationships, budgeting and record-keeping. She supports both the closing team and company leadership with a careful, organized approach.

After raising her children, Nicole began her legal career as a personal-injury paralegal intern in 2015. She moved into foreclosure work in 2017 and real estate in 2020, building experience across several areas of legal and transactional work.

Nicole holds an Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies, serves as Secretary of the Rhode Island Paralegal Association and is a member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. Outside the office, she enjoys family time, cooking, gardening and reading.

Kimberly brings more than 40 years of title and closing experience, with a background in operations, team leadership and client relationships. At Balkun Title & Closing, she supports daily operations and the legal team, helps conduct closings, and works with title and escrow processes. She also develops systems and workflows that keep complex transactions organized.

Her previous leadership roles include partner and owner of a national title and closing company and vice president of a local SBA lender. Her work encompassed residential and commercial transactions across 38 states, escrow and disbursement operations, regulatory compliance, business development and client retention. In those roles, she maintained a flawless audit record.

Known for her attention to detail and clear communication, Kimberly values lasting relationships with clients and colleagues. She brings a practical approach to process improvement, strategic planning and professional growth.

Kayla brings hands-on experience in real estate law to her work at Balkun Title & Closing. She supports property transactions from the initial contract through closing, working closely with attorneys, clients, lenders and title companies.

Her responsibilities include preparing documents, resolving issues and keeping the details of each transaction on track. She takes pride in making a complex process feel organized and manageable for everyone involved.

As a transaction coordinator, Clara supports the closers from the beginning of a transaction through its final steps. She is often the first person clients speak with and helps make the process clear and comfortable. She also assists Spanish-speaking clients and helps translate when needed.

Clara’s background spans real estate, banking and lending, giving her a broad understanding of the people and details involved in each closing. Outside work, she enjoys going to the gym, meeting with her book club and spending time with her dog.

Sue is a real estate paralegal with Balkun Title & Closing.

Dawn brings 10 years of experience as a legal assistant to Balkun Title & Closing. Her work draws on strong organizational skills, attention to detail and experience supporting legal teams in demanding environments.

She provides steady, reliable support and takes care to keep the details of each transaction organized.

Georgia brings a background in real estate, lending and legal studies to her work at Balkun Title & Closing. Originally from Florida, she combines her legal education with practical industry experience to support clients and partners throughout the closing process.

Before joining the team, Georgia worked as a mortgage processor and held a real estate license. That experience gives her insight into a transaction from several perspectives and helps her anticipate challenges and keep details on track.

Georgia values clear communication, careful preparation and making the closing process as smooth as possible for everyone involved.
